Private My Lazio Wine Tasting

We’ve always been strong supporters of the local wines of Lazio. While the more famous names in Piedmont, Tuscany and Veneto get plenty of recognition and sales, the humble producers of this central region where Rome sits continue to toil away in relative obscurity. Many of these wines are difficult to find in other parts of Italy, let alone the world! That’s why we’re proud to offer our newest type of tasting to the VinoRoma calendar. Join us for a two hour journey through the major appellations and grape varieties of the Lazio region, from the rich and fruity whites of the nearby Castelli Romani, up to the volcanic Bolsena lake located near the borders of Tuscany and Umbria for gorgeous wines with all the minerality and, finally, down into the untamed Ciociaria area towards the borders of Abruzzo and Campania, famous for the inimitable Cesanese — a grape that miraculously shares no parentage with any other Italian variety!
